Ascot racecourse plays host to a spectacular 25 day programme in 2008. With 17 days of flat racing fixtures (including the world famous Royal Ascot, Tuesday 17th June to Saturday 21st June 2008) and 8 Jumps Meetings there is always a race day to suit everyone's taste and budget.

The sparkling jewel in Ascot's summer season is the King George weekend, featuring the King George and Queen Elizabeth Stakes, the highest rated Group One race at any racecourse in the UK. Set to take place from Friday 25th July to Sunday 27th July this racing weekend is truly one of the highlights of the European racing calendar.
The excellent September weekend (Friday 26th September to Sunday 28th September 2008) sees the world's best racehorses compete in the Mile Championships. The Queen Elizabeth II Stakes, the world's richest mile race run on Saturday 27th September, always throws up a true champion.

Alternatively, enjoy Shergar Cup Day on Saturday 9th August, a team competition that is easy to follow for both the novice and the experienced racegoer.  The best Jockey's from Great Britain and Ireland compete against top riders from the rest of the world in a thrilling team contest over six races.
